Are you new to Life with Lupus (Megan’s Version)? Here is a place where you can learn about me and my interests beyond my chronic illness.
Hobbies
Growing up, I was a gymnast and a cheerleader. I still enjoy being active but it looks a little different now. Fun Fact: I was a varsity cheer captain during my senior year of high school.
Career
Currently, I am a hospice social worker. I have been a social worker since I graduated from University of North Florida. I have worked in Child Welfare and a Geriatric Psychiatric Hospital.
Running
Instead participating in gymnastics in cheerleading, I have found running as my go to way to stay active. I have run a half marathon. Stay tuned to see which races I run next. Be sure to visit my running corner for tips to run long distance with Lupus!
A Note from Megan
Hi there! My name is Megan, and I’m the author of this blog. As a result of being diagnosed with Lupus in 2017, I’ve been on a mission to learn as much as I can about this chronic illness and how to manage it. I created this blog as a way to share a little bit about me and my experiences, insights, and tips with others who are also living with lupus.
Through this blog, I hope to provide a supportive and informative community for people with lupus. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been living with lupus for years, I believe that we can all learn from each other and support each other on this journey.
In addition to writing this blog, I enjoy running, spending time with my friends and family, and exploring the beautiful state of Florida where I live. Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you find the information and resources here helpful!
“You don’t need to hide yourself; you should continue to do the things you love! Do things that make you feel good! You will always be beautiful, no matter how your lupus changes your body. Always remember that”
